What’s up my peoples, this is Professor D from The Dope Poet Society writing this personally. A few weeks ago I was contacted by the man himself, Chuck D. He told me that Public Enemy would be performing at Canadian Music Week and that he wanted The Dope Poet Society and Miche Mee to open up. We've been keeping a low-pro except for a few special performances, but when the commissioner calls, we're ready. It's an exciting honour to open for PE again (we did some dates with them back in 1999), and on the 20th anniversary of this legendary group, you don't wanna miss them live.

Of course, Public Enemy was one of The Dope Poet Society's greatest influences, not to mention one of the most important musical groups in history. In person, Chuck D is even more of an inspiration, conveying a humbling degree of integrity, sincerity and selflessness. He is a monumental figure in Hip Hop and far beyond (it’s bigger than…). I was fortunate to mentor under him and I am honoured to invite you to join us this coming Friday, March 9th for a classic evening of revolutionary Hip Hop. Also joining us on stage will be the Godfather of Canadian Hip Hop, Maestro Fresh Wes. Maestro and I will be debuting a brand new track that we’ve just created, a true banger called “Success!”

Here are the details of the Show:
